September 9-15, 2018 marks the 23rd Annual National Assisted Living Week. The theme for this year's event is "Capture the Moment."
Assisted Living week always kicks off on Grandparents Day every year in September. The residents at Haisch Haus enjoyed a Pie Social on Monday with an assortment of fresh, homemade pies, always a favorite. Tomorrow, Friday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. Ardeth Bachmann will be entertaining the residents with her musical talents of song and piano.
Haisch Haus has been providing care for the elderly and disabled in the Bonesteel community since March 1997. The staff would like to invite you to stop in and visit anytime. There is a wonderful group of local ladies who join them every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. to play cards with the residents and they bring homemade snacks. It is usually the highlight of the week at the facility.
The residents sure do love company and a good visit, so if you've got some extra time on your hands, please stop in and brighten someone's day, you never know they may brighten yours as well.
